Our Working at Heights course takes your working at heights knowledge and skills to the next level. You will be able to correctly use height safety equipment to complete your job in a safe manner and understand the hazards associated while working at height. With a large emphasis on the practical use of the equipment you will be able to apply your learning at your work place.

 

NZQA unit standards include

 

  • US 23229Use a safety harness for personal fall prevention when working at height (4 credits)
  • US 10509- Climb and work on electricity network structures (6 credits)
  • US 17025- Carry out a rescue from an electrical structure (2 credits ) 

Pre-requisite: First Aid NZQA Unit standards 6401, 6402 or 26551, 26552 & WTC 1

Other unit standards available upon request:

  • US 17600 Explain safe work practices for working at heights (3 credits)
  • US 25045 Employ height safety equipment in the workplace
  • US 15757 Use, install and disestablish proprietary fall arrest systems when working at height (4 credits)
