Electricity Supply Industry Safety Refresher

It is recommended to complete a refresher course each 2 years to maintain competency and keep up to date with any changes.

On the refresher course we will review your ability to:

• Identify: electric lines; electricity system circuit operating voltages; electricity conductors and cables; and electricity system structures.
• Describe employer and employee obligations for safety in an electricity supply environment; describe how health and safety obligations are achieved on electricity supply sites; control hazards in an electricity supply environment; maintain and monitor safety on an electricity supply work site; and report site safety in an electricity supply environment.
• Select, use and maintain electricity supply personal protective equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of electricity industry safety statutes and codes, and how to access them.
