Asbestos Removal Supervisor

This unit standard specifies the outcomes required to supervise the removal process for friable and non-friable asbestos-containing material (ACM).

People credited with this unit standard are able to:

– plan for asbestos removal;

– prepare site for removal;

– supervise testing, compliance, and documentation in consultation with the assessor and the asbestos revivalist;

– oversee removal and decontamination processes; and

– supervise and support team members.

Duration: 1 day

Deliver methods: Classroom and Practical

Pre-requisite: 

Entry into this unit standard must include one of the following:

For a Class A Supervisor – Unit Standard 29766 Remove friable asbestos; or

For a Class B Supervisor – Unit Standard 29765 Remove non – friable asbestos; or

Can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills in either friable or non friable asbestos removal
