ConstructSafe Tier 2 Assessments

A suite of assessments aligned to the health and safety aspects of the main trades and occupations in the industry.

All candidate minimum required knowledge:

Candidates undertaking a ConstructSafe Tier 2 Health and Safety Competency Assessment must have the ConstructSafe Tier 1 Foundation Health and Safety competency to access this assessment.

CONSTRUCTSAFE TIER 2 HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPETENCY TEST - SUPERVISORS

• The knowledge assessment for this framework has 60 questions, which will cover all aspects of the framework.
• To achieve this competency, a candidate must get 85% or more.
• Following the knowledge assessment, this competency requires successful candidates to demonstrate on-going competency by delivering 30 safety interactions at work each year, recorded in the ConstructSafe system.
• Where candidates cannot demonstrate ongoing competency through at work activity over this period, a candidate is required to undertake this ConstructSafe knowledge assessment again.

CONSTRUCTSAFE MANAGERS HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPETENCY 

• The knowledge assessment for this framework has 60 questions, which will cover all aspects of the framework.
• To achieve this competency, a candidate must score 85% or more.

CONSTRUCTSAFE TIER 2 HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPETENCY TEST – ROLLER OPERATOR FRAMEWORK

• The Knowledge Assessment for this framework has 74 questions, which will cover all aspects of the framework.
• To achieve this competency, a candidate must score 85% or more.
• Additional components : Experience
• Following the knowledge assessment, this competency requires successful candidates to be assessed as competent at work across all 5 of the framework risk sections (marked **) at least once each year.
• To maintain All Star worker status, a worker must be assessed as currently competent in all 32 of the learning outcomes (marked *).
• Where candidates cannot demonstrate ongoing competency through in field assessment over this period, a candidate is required to undertake this ConstructSafe knowledge assessment again.
• Holding the knowledge assessment for this framework unlocks access to the CHASNZ equipment inspection tools contained within the CHASNZ app for Rollers.

CONSTRUCTSAFE TIER 2 HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPETENCY TEST – EXCAVATOR OPERATOR FRAMEWORK

• The test for this framework has 60 questions, which will cover all aspects of the framework.
• To achieve this competency, a candidate must get 90% or more.
• Following the theory assessment, this competency requires successful candidates to be assessed at work across all of the framework elements at least once every three years.
• Where candidates cannot demonstrate ongoing competency through at work assessment over this period, a candidate is required to undertake this ConstructSafe assessment again.

CONSTRUCTSAFE TIER 2 HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPETENCY TEST – TELEHANDLER OPERATOR FRAMEWORK

• The Knowledge Assessment for this framework has 50 questions, which will cover all aspects of the framework.
• To achieve this competency, a candidate must score 85% or more. 
• Following the knowledge assessment, this competency requires successful candidates to be assessed as competent at work across all of the framework sections (marked *) at least once each year.
• Where candidates cannot demonstrate ongoing competency through In field assessment over this period, a candidate is required to undertake this ConstructSafe knowledge assessment again.
• Holding the knowledge assessment for this framework unlocks access to the CHASNZ pre start inspection tool contained within the CHASNZ app.

CONSTRUCTSAFE TIER 2 HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPETENCY TEST – ASPHALT PAVER OPERATOR FRAMEWORK

• The Knowledge Assessment for this framework has 56 questions, which will cover all aspects of the framework.
• To achieve this competency, a candidate must score 85% or more.
• Following the knowledge assessment, this competency requires successful candidates to be assessed as competent at work across all of the framework in field elements (Marked *) at least once each year into the ConstructSafe system.
• Where candidates cannot demonstrate ongoing competency through In field assessment over this period, a candidate is required to undertake this ConstructSafe knowledge assessment again.
• Successful candidates will unlock access to the Asphalt paver pre use section of the CHASNZ app.

CONSTRUCTSAFE TIER 2 HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPETENCY TEST – BULLDOZER OPERATOR FRAMEWORK

• The Knowledge Assessment for this framework has 65 questions, which will cover all aspects of the framework.
• To achieve this competency, a candidate must score 85% or more.
• Experience Following the knowledge assessment, this competency requires successful candidates to be assessed as competent at work across all 9 of the framework risk sections (marked **) at least once each year.
• To maintain All Star worker status, a worker must be assessed as currently competent in all 34 of the learning outcomes (marked *).
• Where candidates cannot demonstrate ongoing competency through In field assessment over this period, a candidate is required to undertake this ConstructSafe knowledge assessment again.
• Holding the knowledge assessment for this framework unlocks access to the CHASNZ equipment inspection tools contained within the CHASNZ app for Bulldozers.

CONSTRUCTSAFE TIER 2 HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPETENCY TEST – FORWARD TIP & SWIVEL TIP DUMPER (RIGID AND ARTICULATED CHASSIS) OPERATOR FRAMEWORK

• The Knowledge Assessment for this framework has 71 questions, which will cover all aspects of the framework.
• To achieve this competency, a candidate must score 85% or more.
• Experience Following the knowledge assessment, this competency requires successful candidates to be assessed as competent at work across all 7 of the framework risk sections (marked **) at least once each year.
• To maintain All Star worker status, a worker must be assessed as currently competent in all 32 of the learning outcomes (marked *).
• Where candidates cannot demonstrate ongoing competency through In field assessment over this period, a candidate is required to undertake this ConstructSafe knowledge assessment again.
• Holding the knowledge assessment for this framework unlocks access to the CHASNZ equipment inspection tools contained within the CHASNZ app for Dumpers.

CONSTRUCTSAFE TIER 2 HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPETENCY TEST – DUMP TRUCK (RIGID AND ARTICULATED CHASSIS) OPERATOR FRAMEWORK

• The Knowledge Assessment for this framework has 72 questions, which will cover all aspects of the framework.
• To achieve this competency, a candidate must score 85% or more.
• Following the knowledge assessment, this competency requires successful candidates to be assessed as competent at work across all 7 of the framework risk sections (marked **) at least once each year.
• To maintain All Star worker status, a worker must be assessed as currently competent in all 30 of the learning outcomes (marked *).
• Where candidates cannot demonstrate ongoing competency through In field assessment over this period, a candidate is required to undertake this ConstructSafe knowledge assessment again.
• Holding the knowledge assessment for this framework unlocks access to the CHASNZ equipment inspection tools contained within the CHASNZ app for Dump Trucks.

CONSTRUCTSAFE TIER 2 HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPETENCY TEST – GRADER OPERATOR FRAMEWORK

• The Knowledge Assessment for this framework has 63 questions, which will cover all aspects of the framework.
• To achieve this competency, a candidate must score 85% or more.
• Following the knowledge assessment, this competency requires successful candidates to be assessed as competent at work across all 9 of the framework risk sections (marked **) at least once each year.
• To attain All Star worker status, a worker must be assessed as currently competent in all 40 of the learning outcomes (marked *).
• Where candidates cannot demonstrate ongoing competency through In field assessment over this period, a candidate is required to undertake this ConstructSafe knowledge assessment again.
• Holding the knowledge assessment for this framework unlocks access to the CHASNZ equipment inspection tool contained within the CHASNZ app for Power Driven Rotary Brooms

CONSTRUCTSAFE TIER 2 HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPETENCY TEST – LOADER OPERATOR FRAMEWORK

• The Knowledge Assessment for this framework has 73 questions, which will cover all aspects of the framework.
• To achieve this competency, a candidate must score 85% or more.
• Following the knowledge assessment, this competency requires successful candidates to be assessed as competent at work across all 9 of the framework risk sections (marked **) at least once each year.
• To maintain All Star worker status, a worker must be assessed as currently competent in all 40 of the learning outcomes (marked *).
• Where candidates cannot demonstrate ongoing competency through In field assessment over this period, a candidate is required to undertake this ConstructSafe knowledge assessment again.
• Holding the knowledge assessment for this framework unlocks access to the CHASNZ equipment inspection tools contained within the CHASNZ app for Loaders
